What JLTA Means To Me:
I have experienced many things during my time at the Academy from the good to the bad even including the ugly. However, there is one event among the many that sticks out most, it is something I will never forget, it was the final council fire. What made this moment so powerful and memorable was the awesome combination of the group of guys that were there and the abundant presence of God. It started out like any other with a few songs and a short word but things really geared up as we all circled up and began to pray for each other. The way we were praying was not as strangers or friends but as brothers. Everyone had something to bring to the table and to trust the other guys with and God. That moment stays with me very vividly and reminds me of the guys that became brothers and will be with me wherever life takes me. I am very grateful for the Academy for providing the situation that has impacted my life and stressing the importance of bonds with other Godly men and Christ.
